Frequently Asked Questions
Can we place a pre-order for pickup or delivery?
We do not offer pre-orders, catering, or delivery at this time.
All of our products are baked on-premises and available on a first-come, first served basis.
What time should we arrive?
We strive to have as much on our counter as possible when we open our doors at 8 AM, including our full coffee and beverage service.
We work with living doughs, therefore kitchen temperature and proof times will change how our morning unfolds. Combined with limited oven space and a small, dedicated team, our cases do not fill up all at once.
Instead, we run on a rolling bake schedule throughout the morning, with most breads and pastries hitting our counters by 10 AM.
Do you allow dogs at the bakery?
We love all animals here at the bakery, but we must abide by law and local health department guidelines. Only ADA certified service animals are allowed inside a food establishment.
What time do you sell out? And can't you just make more?
This completely varies day to day! Most pastries and bread are sold out before we close our doors at 2 PM, but if we are particularly busy this can be sooner.
Because we are a scratch bakery and run in a small space, much of our food requires multiple days of prep. We strive to use as much of our space as possible without sacrificing quality and flavor of our products.
Freezing & refreshing sourdough
To freeze a whole loaf, you can wrap it tightly in plastic wrap. If you like to savor your bread, we recommend that you slice it prior to freezing, place in a secure container, and take out slices as you need them. Store up to 3 months.
Our sourdough is baked fresh for you ahead of pick up and we find that it's best on bake day. If your loaf lasts to the next day, you can refresh it by running it under cool water, placing on a tray, and baking at 400 F for 10-12 minutes until crispy again.

What flours do you use in your dough?
We use a variety of high-quality flours, including whole wheat, rye, and white flour, often sourcing locally and seasonally. The choice of flour depends upon the specific loaf, giving each one a unique flavor and texture.
Do you offer gluten-free or allergen-free options?
While we understand the importance of accommodating various dietary needs, Untamed Grain specializes in traditional sourdough and baked goods made with wheat flour, which contain gluten. Our kitchen also handles other allergens, such as nuts, dairy, soy, and eggs. Due to the nature of our kitchen and the equipment we use, we cannot guarantee a gluten- or allergen-free environment.
For the safety of those with allergies or sensitivities, we have chosen not to offer gluten-free or allergen-free products at this time.
Our commitment to you is that our labels will always clearly indicate if products contain allergens to help you make informed choices. We appreciate your understanding and recommend exploring a dedicated gluten- or allergen-free bakery for those needs.
